Our Mission
The GearCats Robotics team exists to grow and nurture STEM skills in a positive environment, create a successful and functional robot, and provide inspiration to our community.
Our Vision
The GearCats are modeled on the team approach to solving problems confronted by professional engineers, designers, software developers, architects, marketers, and financiers every day. The team is mentored/coached by adults from a variety of industries.
Each year we will not only compete against other FIRST teams across the state, but also introduce robotics and engineering and spread STEM to students in elementary and middle schools. Our goal is to create a multicultural team that builds character, inspires creativity, and insists on gracious professionalism.
We started as an offshoot of a club at Millbrook High School in 2016. To read more about our founding, check out our backstory.
